Gemma at the Playground

Yesterday was one of those days....Gemma has been on and off sick for a while now and I am going out of town this Sunday and don't want her to still be sick, so I took her back to the doctor and the ear infection that was supposed to go away on it's own 2 weeks ago was still present. I finally got some antibiotics for her so that made me feel much better. She was a grump last night though....she even cried in the bath! She hasn't done that since her very first bath 14 months ago! As I was putting her to bed, I sat a little while longer in a rocking chair my friend loned me (she said you can't have a sick child and not rock her) and I just rocked Gemma. She konked out after about 5 minutes! I couldn't believe it! This is not a toddler who goes to sleep while you are holding her! It was such a sweet moment and I think I could have rocked her for hours!

Gemma and I went to the playground this morning and here are a few of the pictures. She loves to walk around by herself now and loves to go down the slide too!

Gemma's first experience with speghetti. (Without me feeding it to her) Wow! As soon as I handed her the fork, she dug in and flung the fork up and speghetti flew and hit the wall! It was hilarious, but that's when I knew this was a bad idea! Even with a towel on the floor and Samson the doggie vacuum cleaner around, it still took ages to clean up!
