Ben's homecoming

Ben made it home safely yesterday from 5 months in Iraq! We have had almost constant snowfall here during the last week. Ben was due in on Sunday and I had my doubts that the jets would be able to land in this weather. We woke up Sunday morning to lots of fresh snowfall, but sunny skies as well! Gemma and I went out to the hangar to welcome him home! Gemma was fascinated with the F-16 and she knew who 'Daddy' was immediately. She was a bit shy at first, but by the time we made it back to the squadron, she was laughing out loud while she was chasing after him! It is so great to have him home again! Thanks to everyone for all your prayers and support!

I've watched this slide show twice and both times, the tears ran down my cheeks. I could feel the joy of the moment that you both shared.
Ben: Thank you for the sacrifices that you make for your family and your country.
Stacey: Thank you for the sacrifices that you make while Ben is away on his deployments. Also, thank you for your wonderful work on "The Blog".

I love you and am proud of you both!
